Cain was traveling through china. He was weary as he was at the end of his time awake and was about to become lost to darkness. Wishing to not be disturbed in his time of unconsciousness he made his way up through the hills and into the mountains. There he came to a monastery and was drawn within its walls by the sound of a chime that lay hidden somewhere inside. As he walked, he found that there was no one, no sign of life at all save for the soft gentle sound that led him further inside and the wind that carried the sound to him.
He passed by buildings that were decorated with swirls of gold and inlaid marble, that had mahogany panels and carvings that accentuated their grandiose architecture. He passed by rooms filled with paintings, with gold dripping off of shelves, and jewels scattered about their floors like pebbles in the sand. Still he walked on not interested in such things, only drawn to the sound and his growing need for rest. At the heart of the monastery was a great pool
