The Hex of Hope

I haven't posted one of these in a bit. This is one of the last ones. I only have 4 left out of the original 14. The title for this is a play on words. I did not mean a hex, like a geometric object or thing, but a hex like what a witch would do. I know in a lot of pop culture things that use witches or refer to natural magic, it is common to see the number three or a reference to times three. three is also a strong number for me personally. I felt that Hex would be good in the title because of these correlations. Now why did I choose hope. Because in a good many situations, hope is a curse in and of itself. Hope allows you to believe in a positive end before you view the true outcome of an event which can have very painful results when things don't turn out as you hoped (there's that word again) they would. Some days I feel that to have or embody hope is a curse, a hex I would wish on no man or woman, and that I wish it would just fly away so that I could see the world for how it is. I really am not a pessimist, I swear... just jaded.

What I used:
watercolor, inks, acrylics, coffee (lots), straight pigment, alcohol inks, gold leafing, powdered metals, butterfly wing, metal watch gears and various parts, peacock feather, salt, various synthetic brushes (they are inexpensive...), 90 lb canson watercolor paper.
